"Mamma Knows Best Tip": rock hard avocados ripe in 24 hours!

Have rock hard avocados and need to use them tomorrow? Here is a little trick my mom taught me. 

Get a small brown paper bag like this: 

Place the avocados into the bag and roll the top down tightly. Set aside. Check it in 24 hours. 

Its magical... OR its because the paper bag traps the ethylene gas the avocados produce and helps them to ripen. Either way, it works! Try it!
